Becoming a parent is one of life’s most meaningful transitions, but it can also bring unexpected challenges. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, postpartum depression, identity changes, relationship stress, fertility or conception concerns, or simply feeling unlike yourself, therapy can provide a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with who you are.
I am Dr. Leila Karam, Psya.D, LMHC, LADC I, and a psychoanalyst with over 20 years of clinical experience working with adults and couples. My approach is psychodynamic and insight-oriented, helping clients understand not only what they are experiencing today, but also the deeper emotional patterns that shape their relationships, self-esteem, and overall well-being.
I have a special interest in women’s mental health, including pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, infertility, assisted reproductive technologies, single motherhood by choice, and the many emotional transitions that accompany family building. I also work with partners and couples as they navigate the changes that parenthood brings to their relationship.
My goal is to offer a thoughtful space where you can feel understood, gain insight, and develop lasting emotional resilience as you move through this stage of life.
