I have over fifteen years of experience in community-based social work and psychotherapy. With roots in community organizing and advocacy, I view mental health within the framework of our larger structural barriers rather than an individualized deficit. After my own experience with prenatal depression, I was inspired to pursue training and certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C).
This led to an interest in the identity re-formation, conflict, and grief that occur within ourselves and our relationships as we transition from “self” to “parent.” I completed Levels 1-3 of the Gottman Institute Methods of Couples Therapy and pursued training as a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP).
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in New York State. In addition to my practice, I am a supervisor at a community mental health clinic in Brooklyn, NY, a board member of PSI’s New York Chapter, and a single mom of two.
